When you have your body through an intensive workout, lost a lot of fluids and need to recover and keep going for another… Last night was a good Tabata step session, it was harder with the heat, but I love that for the detox.
This morning I wanted to share my post workout and recovery smoothie. It is perfectly natural and fits in with my ‘breakfast smoothie’ phase I am going through right now.
Here we have raw cacao, fresh frozen mango, barley leaf powder and almond milk. The raw cacao is recommended for muscle recovery, it is also very high in antioxidants as is the mango. The barley leaf powder is my detox and the almond milk is for protein. Another perfect breaky!
