Drinking my greens today.


“Eat your greens”, is what we were always told as a child, and what we tell our children now, even though we used to cringe and roll our eyes. I think if we were introduced to green food through smoothies, we might have liked our veggies more.
Today’s smoothie is a large handful of spinach, a good wedge of rockmelon, some Vivo plant based protein and a small slice of papaya, teaspoon of wheatgrass powder and almond milk. The energy in this smoothie is amazing, it’s waiting to transition. I have such great energy after drinking a bit of green, and it’s particularly important because in busy times, I forget to eat properly and this is a great alternative to meeting the daily vitamin and mineral intake.  I used to be one for multi-vitamin supplements, but who needs those when you can have it all in a little green smoothie.
