Fig, feta, spinach, drunken balsamic onions & maple muffins

Are these savoury or sweet?  They are amazing… They were created with savoury in mind as there is no sugar added, just a tablespoon of maple syrup, and there is a pinch of salt and pepper somewhere in there.  I wouldn’t eat these for morning tea, I would serve them in the late afternoon as an appetizer with a glass of wine and a platter of cheese and cured meats and a bunch of fragrant fresh herbs.  The figs were dried and therefore added extra sweetness.  Playing around with flavours is proving to be very rewarding.  Dried figs are available at some local grocery stores, as well as all the other ingredients.  Check the recipe section if you want to try these for your next get together.
