When was the last time you bought a fresh pineapple?

Do yourself a favour and buy some local pineapple, you’ll be helping the local farmers, and you’ll be helping yourself.  Pineapple is high in vitamin C, high in fibre, high in anti-oxidants, it also contains an enzyme bromelain only found in pineapples and has shown in studies to reduce inflammation and arthritic problems, and of course pineapple is wonderful for smoothies.  I buy pineapple just for drinking it, it’s peeled, chopped and frozen and sits in the freezer.

This smoothie is full of everything from anti-aging to pro-metabolism.  If you don’t already have smoothies in your life, introducing one a day will work wonders for your energy levels, skin and general health.

I should also mention that the beautiful fan in the photograph was bought at the local craft market where they are plentiful and all individually handmade and therefore unique, they make the most beautiful decoration in your home, or a gorgeous gift for a special friend.

  1. well done Jackie I think you have a great attitude. I am off to Brisbane Tuesday as a friend of mine passed away after a long battle with cancer. Wayne will not be back here until Friday. Take care, Love Kathryn Malcolm has a birthday soon I think.xx Date: Sun, 10 May 2015 14:07:57 +0000 To:
